One of my good friends, Megan, works at Covered, my favorite boutique. They have TONS of super cute dresses – to which I once proclaimed “I just have *no* occasion to wear something so fancy and beautiful! What’s the occasion I would wear this dress?” as I pointed to a beautiful dress in the shop. Megan looked at me and said “to life! Life’s happening! Life’s the occasion!”
AH!! I had forgotten one of my own favorite motto’s:
Life’s too short! : Buy the dress.
Or the shoes.
Or the jewels.
Or the purse for that matter!
Such was the case this Saturday. Life was the occasion! The sun was shining and I had a few hours to kill before hubby would be home. My friend, Robyne was having a garage sale – filled with wonderful art and prints that she had collected over the years – and priced to sell. I was SOOOOO totally there. It was too wonderful a day not to wear something just as special:
And then, when hubbie came home, we went to Maynard’s, a lakeside restaurant on Lake Minnetonka for some dinner and people watching. What a GREAT outfit for a casual lake-side dinner.
