I took a day off today to concentrate on my creative efforts and organize my social media. Besides this fashion blog, I have 2 other blogs – http://blog.rentsoda.com – my business blog, and http://psdreambig.com – my motivational & lifestyle blog. Between my business and launching this fashion blog, the other two blogs have taken a backseat. With the launch of PS – Bananas! My creative juices are flowing, I’m excited, and have several blog ideas for the other two blogs. I’m really looking forward to getting back into writing more!
Since I didn’t have to meet with clients today, I wanted to wear something that pushed my creative limits, as well as being comfortable. Luckily, I found JUST the right outfit:
Mixing Leopard & Floral! FUNKY & FRESH.
I would normally stay away from mixing two busy patterns, but somehow, these two complement each other perfectly, don’t you think?
BONUS: A busy leopard print can hide a some minor issues, like a tummy, or a if you’re feeling a little bloated. Put on this dress, and
Voile! Instantly slimming!
And of course, the deets that compliment the outfit:
Since the dress and the sheer cover were already so busy, I kept my bag & shoes in the same neutral tone. I was just lucky that the two matched so well!
The Balenciaga bag is SWOON-WORTHY and A.MAZ.ING. My mom gave me this wonderful bag from her personal collection for launching the blog! OBVI we are cut from the same cloth. I’ve been encouraging her to start blog too! Her sense of style is impeccable and utterly FAB. Thanks MOM!
What I’m Wearing:
Cynthia Rae WILDCAT print dress in her Emily cut, summer version // Cynthia Rae sheer floral cover-up // Balenciaga City bag in Rose Gold buy similar here // Necklace by Jill Platner from Gallery 360 // Bora Turkish Turquoise ring from Omorphia Boutique // Skagen Crystal Mesh watch // Custom-made gold bangle bracelet (I have small wrists!) // Gold Chandelier Tribal earrings similar here // Crown Vintage Abigail wedge sandals in cognac //
I really enjoy designers that are doing their own thing – and GOOD at it. I was REALLY excited when I found Cynthia Rae, as not only did she meet the criteria, her boutique was LITERALLY only 8 blocks from where I live. Sadly, she is closing her boutique, but the good news is, she’s closing it so that she can spend more time designing FAB, FUNKY, FRESH clothes! Her designs will be available online at Cewel Girl, and across select boutiques across the nation.
In the meantime, Cynthia Rae’s having a CLOSE OUT SALE
(think boutique pieces like the dress & cover-up in this outfit at FOREVER21 prices) 50% off all items currently in the boutique, and you can read and see more details about it here. (So FUNKY FRESH, it deserves it’s own post!)
BE FUNKY & FRESH!
PS – I’m TOTALLY BANANAS over Cynthia Rae!
