I <3 Friday’s! Especially yesterday, where the weather was perfect, and packed with activities all day long. I needed an outfit that would take me from day to night effortlessly without any fuss.
I chose a fun navy romper.
My outfit for daytime meetings:
And then as work became play, the blazer came off:
And I LOVE LOVE LOVE the open back!
Anytime I have a halter top or open back or peek-a-boo situation, I always like to make sure that whatever peek-a-boo’s out is exactly what I want to peek-a-boo out. Rather than worry about finding the right low-back bra, or risking going “au natural” and hoping nothing peeks out inappropriately, I typically will pick a cute sports bra in a bright or contrasting color. If it’s going to peek-a-boo out, it might was well POP and be cute!
I LOVE this Vintage White & Gold Lion’s head belt. It’s so ornate, yet PERFECT for this simple outfit.

I’m TOTALLY BANANAS over Vintage accessories. One of my favorite places for Vintage accessories is Covered Boutique, in Uptown. Megan is the vintage buyer/curator/stylist, and she does a FANTASTIC job finding great vintage accessories at reasonable prices. This belt is one of those special vintage pieces that she brought into the boutique – and when I saw it, IN.LOVE. Since it’s a one-of-a-kind vintage item, they won’t have any more, but they are ALWAYS bringing in really neat and wonderful Vintage belts, necklaces, bracelets, rings, etc. So, if you’re in Minneapolis, check in with them often for the vintage accessories!
Do you love Vintage as much as I do?
PS – I’m TOTALLY BANANAS about VINTAGE!
