Mondays – always busy, as we all scramble to get things started for the week. For me, this week is twice as busy, as I have to cram a week’s worth of work into three days. Hubby & I are going on a mini vacation/road trip to Denver to visit his dad starting Thursday.
In the meantime, my work outfit for the day is an updated version of sophistication. The shirt is a simple white shirt from Rory Beca, while the skinny jeans add a little unexpected punch with it’s passionately purple color.
I was really lucky today – I was working from my home office, and hubby came home for lunch! The natural lighting at noon in our yard is great for pictures. And we were having so much fun, I decided to start acting all goofy and twirling around:
It’s Mondays like this that make the entire day zip by:
And of course, the deets that add all the little bits of visual interest to the look:
What I’m Wearing:
Rory Beca “Laura” Slouchy White Silk Pocket Shirt purchased at Covered Boutique but similar here and here // Joe’s Jeans “The Skinny” jeans in 55 colors – Violet Blue purchased at Covered Boutique // (old) DeVintage Black Weave Belt // m.Bridget Designs Giant Swarovski drop earrings // Ikat pattern stretch-beaded bracelet similar here // black Seychelles wedges similar here // Carrera aviator sunglasses // silver & gold vintage collar necklace //Bora White Coral ring from Omorphia Boutique // Michael Kors White Polyurethane and Goldtone Mixed Metal watch // (old) BCBG Python print tote //
The purple Joe’s Jeans (actually called “violet Blue” are a GREAT PASSIONATE PURPLE color. I have literally been stopped while walking around town, to be asked “what jeans are those?/where did you get those jeans?” And the fit and feel are just as wonderful.
The belt is old from a while ago – from Covered Boutique – it’s in heavy rotation and goes with so much! Also purchased at Covered Boutique are both the purple Joe’s Jeans skinnies and the Rory Beca silk shirt. Both items were purchased early in the Spring season, so I doubt that they have any left. However, you should run over and check them out anyway, as both brands are ones they consistently carry, so you should be able to score something just as drool-worthy.
Reason #15 – why I shop Covered: I once mentioned that I love white shirts of every sort – they said they’d call me when they get something in – and 3 weeks later, they called. It was the Rory Beca shirt in this post, and I couldn’t have been more pleased. AND TOTALLY Tickled that they remembered! The Rory Beca shirts sold out in a matter of HOURS, so I was ECSTATIC that they called me to to see if I wanted them to put one on-HOLD! (Why – ABSOLUTELY!)
Speak of the devil – as I sit typing this post, Biddy of Covered just texted me to let me know they have new mumu’s & a Rory Beca dress in. I NOW HAVE GOOSEBUMPS. How did she know I was JUST typing about her?
UPDATE:After Biddy txted me, I bopped into Covered on my way home from my last appointment of the day. They had JUST received a shipment of Rory Beca white shirts – not exactly like the one pictured, but very similar! Hurry! Last time they received Rory Beca white shirts in, the shipment only last a few hours…
TIP: Form a relationship with your favorite boutiques, they’ll keep an eye out for the things you’re wishing and dreaming of. Make sure to let them know what you’re lusting after, AND, always, always, always, let them know how much you appreciate them! And as the Covered girls would tell me – “We’ve got you Covered!” They literally have my backs chica’s, and that’s something I can be:
Passionately Pleased as Punch about!

PS – I’m TOTALLY Bananas over Joe’s Jeans skinnies!
