Yesterday was hot and humid. My agenda for the day included work, meetings, a board meeting, fitness training (with Danielle Pellicano who kicks my butt into shape), and then a birthday dinner for my son, who turned 19. I needed an outfit that would work all day, allow for quick change without much fuss (for my fitness training), and then transition me into dinner out with the family.
I picked an interesting LBD, little black dress, and added some pops of neon and a FAB necklace!
It was a LONG day, and by the time we had time to take some quick pics, it was already dark. The little pops of neon were perfect in the dark! Here we are playing around with the nighttime setting on hubby’s camera:
I kind of like the night time setting! It makes it look like I am glowing from the inside-out. OR, perhaps it makes me look like I ate something radioactive. Or maybe I’m an alien. Maybe all of the above? 🙂 I’m not sure why my plant behind me has a light coming from it. Must mean that it’s MAGIC. Plants are like that, you know!?
So after taking a bunch of fuzzy alien pictures, we decided to take our chances with the regular setting and just the flash.
The little pops of neon are bright, aren’t they?
And of course the deets!
And here I am with my son, who turned 19 this past weekend. We are at Joe’s Crab Shack to celebrate! I can’t believe my baby is 19!

I love celebrating birthdays, whether my own or my loved ones. It reminds me of all the wonderful memories we have together. Especially in this case, I just want to hug my son to death. But, I’ll refrain myself, as that *might* embarass him too much. 🙂
