Happy Weekend everyone! I LOVE Friday’s. I REALLY LOVE LOVE Friday’s! Who am I kidding? I LOVE the ENTIRE weekend. This weekend in Minneapolis is supposed to be particularly hot & humid. My objective is to keep cool as long as I can all weekend. I started with my hair, braiding it into a simple slightly-messy, side-braid. From there, the rest of the outfit just kind of fell into place, and when it was all said and done, I felt like I had found the outfit/look that Pocahontas would wear if she had a hot date in hot & humid Minneapolis tonight: (I’m kinda digging my Pocahontas look!)
Everything is light and airy and simple:
Check out the back detail! Open and SOOOO ADORBS, and a GREAT way to keep cool:
(added bonus – if you have tan lines, the interesting details of the bralette and the racerback hide your tan lines!)
Everything is light as a feather!
I kept the deets simple & neutral, with organic textures and shapes.
These shoes are really comfy – nice wide straps and a great chunky heel!
I love the little, natural, organic details, like these light, airy feather earrings by m.Bridget Designs – similar ones can be found at Atmosfere in Uptown, and the clam shell necklace from Max’s Boutique in St. Louis Park! Braiding my hair to the side was not only a necessity in this weather, it’s a cute little detail itself. Paired with the feather earrings and the organic textures, this outfit TOTALLY reminds me of Pocahontas, if she were to wear heels & sunnies!
What I’m Wearing:
