Hope you’ve had a great weekend!
I’ve been waiting for this past Saturday night for a while – this one in particular because my friends are playing at the Dakota Jazz Club, and I can’t wait to see them! Since it has been and is still hot and humid in Minneapolis, I’ve had my hair in a side braid all weekend, and loving it! For tonight’s date night, I decided to walk a little on the WILD side:
I’ve worn this dress before, but this time I changed out the accessories and added the red accents, and I LOVE it, don’t you think?
In this humid weather, the side-braid is a necessity. It keeps me cool, and my hair is sleek and unfussy. BONUS: with my hair out of the way, the drop-dead gorgeous earrings can shine! (Thanks to m.Bridget Designs for the earrings!)
The dress is SO FAB. I can’t believe I hesitated and waited to buy this dress. I was so lucky they still had my size when I made the decision to pull the trigger! It flows around so beautiful at every little turn and movement, it’s little details like this that make being a girly-girl so fun!
And of course, in my signature style, I piled on the deets:
Like LOTSA arm-swag: including a message, “Live in LOVE!”
Vintage collar necklace, vintage red belt and vintage red wristlet:
And the SHOES! OH MY, the SHOES! It’s like a red cherry on top – except it’s on my feet!
Here we are on a patio in Downtown Minneapolis. I love Minneapolis in the summers! Beautiful night, great music, good food, fun atmosphere, and great company:
What more can a girl ask for?
What I’m Wearing:

I purchased this dress from Covered Boutique in Uptown. They’re sold out of it, but they just received a shipment of the skirts in! The same pattern and print as the dress pictured. – That would be just as FUN! Hurry – doubt those skirts will last very long.
Hope you’re having a WONDERFUL summer so far!
