Ever since I decided to do this “7 Days of Neon Summer Challenge” to commemorate the Summer of 2012, I’ve been fretting about what to wear? Do I have enough Neon to warrant a full week of posts? Will I be able to find something professional enough for my business meetings? Well, can’t worry about it too much now that I’ve already committed to it – so I decided to take it one day at a time. Here’s my Day#2 NEON outfit:
These Current Elliot skinny jeans are THE BEST. They are a GREAT fit, they’re comfortable, and the PRINT – GORG! Although I’ve had these for almost a year now, I think I’ll still get another year out of them – animal prints are still hot right now!
And keeping the shirt simple, in a one-tone neon yellow – somehow balances the entire look. This is very much a summer outfit – with the colors and the short sleeves. However, all of these pieces will transition into fall/winter very well. – Put the shirt under a sweater or blazer, for example, pair the skinny jeans with a chunky sweater, wear the booties with just about anything!
And of course, the deets:
Long, lean, simple lines on this fossilized necklace, keeping the bracelets simple with just 1 studded bracelet instead of my usual armparty, and little white accents in the ring, clutch, watch & shoes.
The shoes & bag are white with simple, clean lines – again to neutralize the NEON and the grey panther print. And although in the “good old days” white is a no-no after labor day, these days, white is perfect for fall & winter too. These boots are going to be GREAT for styling with fall & winter outfits!
And just because she’s so stinking cute and wanted to be in all my pictures, but I shooed her away, I HAVE to include my boxer, Jazz. Somehow, now that the picture is ALL ABOUT HER, she’s pretending like she doesn’t have a clue what is going on and couldn’t be bothered. JUST LIKE A DOG, huh?
