Day #3 of My 7 Days of NEON Summer Challenge: Neon J Brand Skinny Jeans

Ever since I decided to do this “7 Days of Neon Summer Challenge” to commemorate the Summer of 2012, I’ve been fretting about what to wear – especially on a day that I have business meetings scheduled. Business meeting day was yesterday! BUT, in the afternoon, I had to do property tours and snap pictures – which in this hot, humid weather can get VERY uncomfortable FAST. Here’s my Day #3 outfit in My 7 Days of NEON Summer Challenge:

-I actually brought a quick top change-out to accommodate my afternoon activities. So, today’s outfit is actually a TWO-FOR-ONE Outfit of the Day – featuring NEON J Brand skinny jeans!

The outfit on the left is the business-meetings-with-clients outfit, and the outfit on the right is the running-around-properties-snapping-pictures outfit. Since velvet can get a little hot, I just switched out the top & shoes for my afternoon activities!

I LOVE skinny jeans. BUT, they have to fit you JUST RIGHT – for each occasion. I have small calves, so for me, it’s hard to find a skinny jean that’s actually skinny enough in the calf area. J Brands are so perfect – the fit, the fabric, the feel – I just LOVE my J Brand jeans as of late! They have several different fits – skinnies, super skinnies, jeggings, low waist, high waist – they’ve got a fit for everyone! This pair fits like it was made just for me, and in this surprising NEON color, they’ve become one of my favorite pairs of skinny jeans!

Did I mention they’re so comfy, you just can’t help but jump around, dance around and move around? Ever try dancing around in the afternoon? Things change quick – you start laughing, giggling, and feeling like a kid!

This little velvet Aryn K peplum top is not a true peplum. I actually purchased this top about two years ago and never wore it until now. As I was planning my outfit for the day, my eyes passed by this velvet shirt – and my heart skipped a beat – just like the first time I saw it. I KNEW, this little baby was the ONE to be paired with my neon jeans – it was just waiting for it’s match! It’s slightly ruched around one side, adding some extra detail to the shirt, and adding that peplum-like flair. The gold detailing in the top pairs so perfectly with my NEON jeans! It’s a little feminine, a little dressy, and just professional enough for my morning meetings today.

Either look could take me easily into happy hour with the girls, or a date with the hubby. So versatile!

Shoes & SHOES!

I LOVE the Marco Santi stilletto’s, but they’re not exactly made for running around big concrete apartment buildings, so bringing along these comfy gold-tone  Jessica Simpson flats worked PERFECTLY. Did you know that the Jessica Simpson brand of shoes – have FLATS? I didn’t know either until I slipped these little babies on! Scored BOTH from Nordstrom Rack. Gotta LOVE a good deal!
