Fashion Link-Up: Fall is for BOOTIES!

As the summer days are getting shorter and fall stuff is all over the runways, all I can think about is BOOTIES! So, the theme for this week’s Fashion Link-Up is BOOTIES!

I actually had an outfit all planned for yesterday, but the weather was not cooperating today. Cold then rainy, then hot, then humid. Not really the right weather to wear booties. HOWEVER, if I get a cool day before the Link-Up ends (Link-Up runs from Thursday August 16th – Sunday August 19th), then I will be linking up an appropriate outfit!

So, what IS a bootie versus a boot? A bootie is a shorter version of the boot. It’s more of an ankle boot than a full boot. I quickly pulled together several pairs of boots that are going to transition me into fall. Some are new, some are old, some are new-t0-me!

From Top left, clockwise:

1. Steve Madden – cognac suede fringe booties (last fall season)
2. Steve Madden – black suede booties (this season)
3. Aldo – Bootie (this season)
4. Dolce Vita – Quince Bootie (last fall season)

Based on these selections, looks like I am REALLY digging the western flare!
