Spending the day with my daughter today – always a special treat. Since she’s seventeen, so she’s ALWAYS busy -with friends, activities, work, which usually means I am the last on that list! Today was a special treat, as we took it easy and chummed around casually all day!
So, what’s on the agenda for a day like today? Brunch at Turtle Bread in South Minneapolis, taking pictures on the deck, and the House Hunters International on the tube. We are BOTH such real estate nerds!
My daughter is very talented with a camera. She has a great eye for all the angles, looks for good lightening, and gives me clear instructions on what is working and not working for her. She’s patient with me, and since she enjoys taking pictures, she takes a TON of them – so that we have choices! My husband on the other hand, although he doesn’t “complain” and he sometimes actually has fun taking my pictures, most times it seems like a bit of a core, he’s rushed, and just looking to take a few pictures and be done with it. It’s such a pleasure to be working with someone who can’t wait to look at all the pictures and find the best ones! Since has such a great for composition, there were so many pictures to choose from!
I LOVE this shirt from UNIF. The graphic reminds me of the CoCo Chanel logo, but ON FIRE. So bad@ss sophisticated chic! And the distressed Joe’s Jeans are one of my favorite pairs. A darker denim, with some small distressed patches.
And since my daughter had taken so many great pictures, I couldn’t just choose one or two, so decided to showcase as many as I could!
Of course, with us both out in the yard laughing and giggling, Jazz wanted to be part of all the fun:
My daughter took her time capturing all the deets!
LOVE this Michael Kors bag for the fall winter. The black is so shiny and beautiful, and even after 2+ years of heavy use, this bag still looks brand new!
I purchased these Manolo Blahnik heels from June Resale Boutique in Uptown. I LOVE LOVE LOVE these shoes. They were in GREAT, barely used condition, a great shoe with beautiful detailing and buckles. Anytime I need a chic, wild attitude in my outfit, these are my go-to shoes!
And because this outfit reminded me of my mom’s idol, CoCo Chanel, I decided to add gold & pearl details in my jewelry! I LOVE layering necklaces. Here, I’m layering a vintage collar necklace with some pearls.
And of course, bracelets & rings galore!
I love this little stack of rings as well as the House of Harlow ring – all of them are in heavy rotation!
And my lovely photographer for day: my beautiful daughter!
