Happy Labor Day! I hope you’re enjoying your weekend!
My husband & I have been planning a little vacation, City Slickers-style (for those of you who remember that movie). Meaning, we planned to center ourselves, let go of the city and all it’s “buzz” and re-connect with nature. With all of the things going on in our personal lives recently, this vacation’s goals were now more important than ever. (Talk about pressure!) I really needed to reconnect with the world, with myself, and with my center.
So, off we went to Montana, where we planned to sight see, fish, hike, & ride horses until we once again felt ONE with the world.
I didn’t take any pictures on the drive out to Montana, as I was still entrenched in the busy-ness of every day life, but I felt it’s hold on me become less and less as we checked into a Kingfisher Lodge in Fort Smith, Montana.
I felt a stirring in my heart as the scenery calmed me:
This is Yellowtail Dam in Montana
I can still hear the static of the city, in my head, but the scenery and simpleness of life are helping me find the center I am looking for:
I am really loving Montana!
There aren’t many distractions, it is so quiet and peaceful!
Life seems so simple:
Even though life was out-of-focus, for the first time in a long time, I felt myself re-focusing.
Thank you for all of your encouraging words! It means more to me than you know!
Hoping you have a GREAT Labor Day!
