I’ve been so inspired by all the thrifting that I’ve been reading about! First, there’s this little blog-hop called Thrifter’s Anonymous that I LOVE. If you have thrifted pieces in your fashion blog, you just link up and then start hopping to the other great bloggers who are thrifting! TOTALLY INSPIRING!
THEN, one of my FAVORITE blogs, Judy Aldrich’s Atlantis Home, did a whole blog post on thrifting, called “Thrift Store Essentials” featuring FIVE easy to find (at a thrift store) pieces that will completely update your fall wardrobe. I mean – come on. Her five picks are DROOL worthy – and she’s right – most thrift stores will have these items, so I was TOTALLY psyched.
So off I went – on a little thrifting adventure of my own! And check out what I found! It’s my new-to-me, but old, vintage mink fur coat! OMG. And it fits like a dream. And you won’t believe the price: $39.99!
And since it was a little chilly today, I was more than happy to take this baby for spin! I decided to pair it with my snow leopard Joe’s Jeans. The white is perfect to showcase how beautiful this fur is!
And to finish off the outfit, my Report Signature black boots. THESE boots were made for WALKING baby! Even though I had run the Twin Cities 10 Mile Race just this past Sunday and my right knee was sore and stiff, that didn’t stop me from pulling these boots on! They’re so GORG, buttery soft and compliment this outfit PERFECTLY. I literally limped the 3 blocks to my lunch date! The things a girl will do for the LOVE of FASHION!
Oh – and since I was having that casual lunch with a friend, I threw on this Journey t-shirt by Chaser Brand to give this entire outfit a casual slightly rocker look.
And the DEETS!
These black Report Signature boots are so ADORBS. These are old – maybe 4-5 years old, but still look beautiful and new. If you take care of your shoes – they should last you YEARS! I condition them with leather lotion twice a year as well as spraying it with a weather-proofing/water-repellent leather spray twice a year. I clean them, I’m gentle with them, and I wear them with LOVE!
The purse is a Michael Kors bag – classic shape, great size, and so versatile! It can be dressed up or down depending on the occasion!
I kept the jewelry simple – gold Michael Kors watch and a large chunky gold ring.
